All TITAN machines, strapping heads and equipment for your strapping needs are designed with such precision that even the competition's straps run like clockwork in them. All mechanical parts are manufactured in state-of-the-art machining centres to the highest tolerances with precisely reproducible accuracy and measured using the latest non-contact technology. Only as strong as its strongest link: the TITAN value chain
Our meticulous scrutiny of the quality of all TITAN products begins with comprehensive incoming goods inspections. Here, we scrutinise all raw materials in minute detail to ensure the highest quality standards right from the start.
Throughout the entire manufacturing process, our experienced team of in-house inspectors and quality assurance staff carry out continuous interim and final inspections. This includes the use of state-of-the-art 3D coordinate measuring machines and camera-based measurement systems. All testing equipment is regularly monitored and calibrated by certified external laboratories. This ensures consistently precise and reliable measurement results. Following assembly, we carry out targeted tests to ensure that all assembled sub-assemblies and end devices meet the required specifications. For strapping heads and other components, we conduct comprehensive electrical safety tests to the highest standards. On request, every strapping tool and every strapping head is individually pre-set. And a final functional check is always included.
Keep a close eye on the straps
Strict gatekeepers at the goods entrance
Every raw material must look impeccable, with no damage, rust or deformation. We scrutinise the material certificates with a critical eye. And we carry out spot checks on the chemical composition and mechanical properties, such as tensile strength and moisture content.
Constant supervision in the playground
Whilst processing our steel and PET straps, we regularly check dimensional accuracy in terms of parameters such as thickness, width, twist and flatness, inspect the surface for scratches and stains, and check the edge quality for burrs and irregularities.
What matters is the end result
Before dispatch, we check the final dimensions of each strap against specified tolerances. The surface undergoes a final visual inspection, and corrosion protection for steel straps is ensured through salt spray tests and our special coating.
A key aspect of TITAN’s quality is that, ever since our early days, we have regarded ourselves as a manufacturer. You can even send us your 1984 strapping head: we will give it a full overhaul and return it to you as good as new. And, of course, whenever we repair a hand-held tool, we also check the fastening patterns. It’s a matter of honour.
