TOP TITAN Innovations for Sustainability
It doesn’t always have to be steel
As a system provider, TITAN has played a key role in driving the trend towards more sustainable PP and PET straps since the 1990s. With a constant stream of new, innovative solutions that make plastic strapping possible in an ever-increasing number of industries.
We use technologies that others can barely pronounce
TITAN steel straps are electrophoretically coated – the only ones in Europe. In doing so, we only ever use as much energy as is actually needed. And significantly less paint for significantly better corrosion protection.
ARG clever: greater safety with less material
The TITANARG® welding joint, developed by us, can reduce the amount of consumables used in steelworks by up to 20%. And that’s with a sealing efficiency of up to 95%.
Moon Landing Mission
Since 2007, all TITAN PET straps have been made from 99% recycled flakes that were once bottles. Each year, we thus put an extremely large quantity of recycled PET material to good use. This amounts to approximately 350 million bottles in just over 27 million 12-bottle crates. Stacked on top of one another, this amounts to a tower of crates around 8,640 kilometres high each year. Since 2007, that’s a total height of an incredible 138,240 kilometres. And if we continue at this rate, we’ll reach the moon by 2050!
Sustainability at TITAN – the interviewWe embrace corporate responsibility
For TITAN, sustainability also means taking a stand – in both small and large ways. As a family-run business, we act with foresight, commitment and respect for people, society and the environment. Read here to find out how we put our corporate responsibility into practice:

Long before energy became a critical issue, we switched from gas-fired plants to induction heating in our manufacturing processes, for example. And we only use energy where it is absolutely necessary.
Clear rules. Reliable action.
For TITAN, compliance is a key component of responsible business practice. Just one click away, we’ll show you the standards and rules that guide our actions, the expectations we have of ourselves and our business partners – and how concerns can be reported securely and confidentially via our whistleblowing portal.
Titan Compliance

The smallest space for the biggest hut
Sustainability knows no bounds at TITAN: we’ve also cleverly designed our new logistics centre to maximise storage capacity within the smallest possible floor space. And so we’ve managed to get 10,000 square metres out of 4,000. Naturally, only electric forklift trucks operate between the high-bay racking systems. As we said: our commitment to sustainability knows no bounds.
Even giants have a green heart
That is why we use 100% certified green electricity at all our German production sites, which comes entirely from renewable sources. Its generation produces neither CO₂ emissions nor radioactive waste. And we use it as sparingly as possible. After all, we are all in this together.

TITAN is not a corporate group, but a manufacturer. This means that we continue to repair all our machinery and equipment long after they have been installed. This, too, is a way of practising sustainability.
We're not yokels but we are from the sticks.
To ensure that they can continue to do so elsewhere for as long as possible, we do our part wherever we can. The TITAN approach: strapping solutions that drastically reduce the need for consumables. Robust, repairable and recyclable. If you agree, we should talk.
