Our client in Belgium is a service centre that covers the full range of metalworking processes for aluminium, steel and stainless steel. For its steel coils, the client was looking for a strapping machine that provides double transport protection in a single operation.
Film stretchers made by TITAN
TITAN has been strapping the steel coils of this Belgian metal processor for over a decade. To protect its products from environmental influences, this new solution utilises a stretch wrapping machine developed and built by TITAN. Immediately after strapping, the 6-metre-high machine wraps the film through the coil eye over the entire coil body and packs it airtight to protect against moisture, dirt or surface damage. The strapping machine and stretch wrapping machine are coordinated so that the material flow does not come to a standstill. The highly efficient 2-in-1 solution eliminates additional work steps. And thus saves valuable production time. Coils perfectly protected. Customer happy. Runs with TITAN.
With our stretch wrapping machine, coils can be wrapped in a single operation immediately after strapping. This saves the customer the trouble of transporting the coil from the strapping machine to the wrapper.
